What Happened to the Last 2 Crew Members on Pump 3, Did they Get Lost in Traffic. Lol
The one thing that Gets me from this is Why ? Is an Older Fire Appliance that is Attending Incidents, It’s an Older Appliance that’s doing the Job, No 1st Line Scania’s Here, how can this Carry on ? The Nearest main 24hr Station is Inverness 100Miles or So Away or Aberdeen 200 miles & More away. I live in the Highlands (Forres) God forbid I have a Fire !! I Commend “All Fire Fighters” especially “Retained Fire Fighters” Who Give Up Everything to “Save life’s & Protect Us All” including there own Life’s as We Witnessed with the Fire in Edinburgh (Jenners) God Bless ALL our Emergency Responders, Whomever they Maybe.
100miles between inverness and Dingwall?? it's only 15miles and 110 between Dingwall and aberdeen. and forres ain't part of the Highlands
Inverness fire station use to house 14 plate scania P280 pumps but around 2016 both of the 14 plates were involved in a RTC due to black ice.

notice a lot of retained firemen on differant videos in mainland uk and scotland dont appear to have fire signs front and back on their car windscreens---all retained in n/ireland have these and some have flashing fire signs as well-they also have full headlights on and flashers while attending fire-station for a call out--------why dont firefighters in uk have signs to alert drivers they are on route to a call out?
Being retained doesn’t give any special powers (which some seem to forget). Imagine you had an accident on the way to a shout with flashing fire signs in the window 😂
@@briantwigley totally agree-i c these guys in our town only this morning on my school run-three of them going through red lights with horns blasting-not sure if they are allowed to do this-another a taxi driver whom i know has been repremanded by station officer about his driving to call outs(this was in local paper after police fined him 4 driving at excessive speed on way to call)---i met him in town centre shortly after seeing the other 3 guys and he was blasting his horn and flashing lights and sign flashing on front window-im thinking its possibly -if ur not there in the 5 mins allowed u dont get paid or only the 5 guys who go out get paid thanks 4 ur reply
@@chevy790 well if anyone did that over here they would be out the door the same day. I assume in NI the traffic rules are the same as in the rest of the UK, retained have no exemptions whatsoever. The 6 on the pump(s) get paid a turnout and then anyone else gets an attendance which is half of a turnout. I’d love to meet some of these people 😂

Those part time firefighters in the UK would be drooling with having red lights and sirens in their personal vehicle, as red is the primary emergency light color here. They may use them in their personal vehicle, when their vehicles are designated as emergency vehicles by the municipality. Saskatchewan's emergency vehicle definitions: ssot.sk.ca/assets/main/legislationandgovernmentresources/T-18.1---The-Traffic-Safety-Act-oct-2020.pdf Manitoba's definitions: web2.gov.mb.ca/laws/statutes/archive/h060(2014-05-14)e.php Out of Canada's 3 territories and 10 provinces, only 2 provinces (Saskatchewan and Manitoba) recognize firefighters' personal vehicles as emergency vehicles.

Bo'ness is Wholetime/Retained. They operate a wholetime pump and command unit, and also a retained pump and retained fire fogging unit. The pump seen here is their wholetime. And no we were inside the station getting photos and chatting with the crew when the tones went down.

Unlike the Americans the UK does not go needlessly over the top. We have the required amount of security for the perceived threat. The car itself is custom built, armoured and has various security features also.
